- NEWEST. The unofficial final grades are
posted here. (Grades become official only
after Faculty approval. This will take place early in January.)
- Solutions
for Problem Set #4 have been posted here
(Dec. 8, 4:40pm).
- The Final Exam will be closed book, however we will
make a short booklet of "Logic-Facts"
available to you at the exam. You will be allowed to consult this
booklet during the examination. An exact copy of the booklet is found here so that you can
familiarise yourselves with it beforehand. Please do NOT bring a copy to the exam!
A copy will be handed out
to you at the Exam.
- The question 9.28 in GS that is
assigned in Problem Set #4 has a
typo: Should say "x is
not free in Q".
- The Final Exam, Common to Sections A
and B is to be held in CSE building, B, at 7-10pm, Thursday, December
8, 2005.
- A new version of Part II has
been uploaded (Nov 23). It fixes the proof of 5.5.6 and also the 2nd
proof given for 5.5.9.
- Assignment #3 due date changed
to November 21, 2005 (4pm, in the course box).
- There is a typo in Axiom 3 (Part
II, previous upload): The quantifier "for all x" must be inserted in
front of each of the A and B that are connected by the third arrow.
- Another must download. Part II has been updated
today, adding a very short chapter on properties of equality and a few
other goodies (Nov. 5).
- Both Parts I and II have been
updated yet again (Oct. 31).
- Guojun's Wednesday, November 2, 2005,
Tutorial is cancelled. Guojun's
Tutorials resume normally the week following.
- Another "must download". The full
version of the
Logic notes, in two parts, Boolean
Logic and Predicate

available (two separate

- Yet another (new) version of the Boolean
Logic part of the notes has been uploaded (Sep 29). Notably, Corollary
1.1.5 (that was discussed in class today) is added and a few more typos
are fixed. This is worth downloading.

- Sep 23: The Assignment Box for this
section only, MATH1090 A, is located in CSEB main floor near the elevators.
