- Next Tuesday
(April 25) is the final exam. The exam will begin at 8:05
sharp! No consideration will be given to anyone who is
late!
- You must submit
the Lab assignment (Lab 8) April 25 - no late submissions for this
exercise will be accepted.
- There will be no
lab or lecture after the exam.
Wednesday, April

- No lab report
required for lab 7. There will be an assignment for lab 8
instead.

- Lab 8 is
available - see "Assignments" page. It is recommended you read
the lab itself prior to attending the lab period. No lab report
required
for this report however, there is a lab assignment that is actually
very good practice for your final exam (see "Assignments" link for
further details).
- Tuesday's (April
18) is the last lecture (and lab) prior to the exam. We will
spend a few minutes of the end of the lecture reviewing the solutions
to the mid-term exam.

This will be the last report for the course.
- Lab report for
lab 6 was originally due April 10 but since several of you did not
complete the lab fully during the lab period, I will accept the report
until Thursday April 12 without penalty. It is your
responsibility to ensure you complete lab 6!

(April 1) we will continue were we left off prior to the strike.
This Tuesday we will have a lecture and lab period as normally
scheduled (see the "Lectures link");

dispute has been settled, we will continue with the material
(lecture and lab) that we were supposed to cover on Tuesday,
March 7 2006.
- We will also go
over the solutions to the mid-term exam once classes resume and of
course if there are any questions/concerns with respect to your grading
of any of the questions, then you should see me.

- In the event of a
strike this coming Tuesday, there will no lecture. We will have
to
continue with the lectures after the labor dispute has been
settled. In the event of a strike, check the website periodically
for any updates.

- Just a reminder
that your mid-term exam will be held Tuesday, February 28 2006 (the
week you return from Reading Week). The exam will
start at 8:10am sharp and will last about one hour - there will be no consideration for anyone
who arrives late!
- There will be a
lab (Lab 5) after your mid-term test. See the "Assignments"
link for further details. No lab report is required for this lab
however, there is a lab assignment due March 14. The assignment
consists of the following questions from your textbook: 2.2,
2.14, 2.19 and 3.13 - you may also find it useful to start
working on these questions prior to your mid-term test.

- Just a reminder
that your mid-term exam will be held Tuesday, February 28 2006 (the
week you return from your reading week break). The exam will
start at 8:10am sharp and will last about one hour - there will be no consideration for anyone
who arrives late!

including a list of sections (from the textbook) you are responsible
for.
- There will be a
lab held after the exam. We will be working on Lab 5 (see
"Assignments" link).

- "Final" lecture notes for Tuesday's (Feb. 14,
2006)
lecture are now available
via the "Lectures" link.
- Test 1 will be
held February 28, 2006. We previously talked about having the
test (potentially) on March 7 however, March 7 is also the strike date
(e.g., in the event of a strike, it will occur March 7) and therefore,
to avoid any conflict, the test will be written February 28
instead. I will add some notes regarding Test 1 within a few days
- check often!
- Remember, Lab 3
assignment was due today but I am willing to provide an extension until
tomorrow morning. Either submit via email or leave it in my
mailbox.
- Another reminder
that there is a lab report due for Lab 4.
- Keep in mind that
if you miss a lab you can complete it at another day provided you speak
to me in advance and you have a good reason for missing the lab - you
must let me know immediately since I will not allow you to complete
labs after one week provided you haven't talked to me and made
arrangements previously.

Wednesday,

- Due to an
un-forseen event, the lab period was canceled yesterday (Feb. 7).
Since there are only eight labs in total this semester, this will not
affect your ability to complete all labs. We will work on lab 4
next week.
- If you have not
don so yet, drop off your lab 2 report with the secretary in J230.

- Just a reminder
that there is no lab report due for Lab 1 however, there is an
assignment for Lab 1 (see the "Assignments" link).
- Earlier today the
link to the Matlab tutorial was not working and therefore, you could
not access the tutorial required for the assignment - the link is
working now - you should be able to access the tutorial.

the lab itself prior to attending the lab period. There is also
an assignment that you must complete and hand in with this lab.
The assignment is basically an introduction to Matlab and just a matter
of following a Matlab tutorial.
