(Mar. 29)
In Review Exercises problem
#5 has a typo. The
second letter in it should not be "B"
but should be "A" (see corrected Practise Set HERE).
(Mar. 27) Given the
Senate Executive guideline
Changes
to the Number, Kind and Weight
of Assignments(Updated;
March 20)Instructors
of all categories of courses are
permitted to make changes to the
number, kind, and weight of
assignments, tests and
examinations provided this does
not disadvantage students and
preserves academic integrity as
much as possible.
And due to the
absence of tutorials during the strike, I
effected two changes to
the (a) number of assignments
and to (b) course weights:
(a) As you already know, #4 is NOT
a gradeable assignment but plays the role of practice questions for the
Exam. I will post solutions on
April 9, at 2pm, but do please practise these
questions until then. (b) The new
course weights are: Assignments:
15% for #1, 15% for #2, 10% for #3; MidTerm: 30%
(unchanged); Final Exam: 30%.
NEW (Mar. 4)
I am extending
the Mid Term End-TIME by
15minutes for ALL
STUDENTS as I had technical
problems
(Feb. 28)
The MidTerm Test
will be TAKE-HOME.
It will be POSTED on March
4 at about 5min
BEFORE 1:30pm ON THIS PAGE, and Answers MUST be DEPOSITED NOT LATER THAN 2:30pm (SHARP!) on the same day in eClass.
E-mailed files will NOT
be accepted!
(Feb. 14)
The Unofficial Marks
for Assignment #1 are HERE.
(Feb. 7) Sepideh will be away on a
conference this Friday (the 9th)
therefore Tutorial Group 4
will NOT meet on that date.
(Jan. 31) Stanley informs me that "The new timings for
the PASS sessions is: Monday 11:30am-1:00pm at
BC202, and Tuesday 6pm-7:30pm at BRG 211".
Moreover I
pass along that: there
will be a zoom PASS session on Thursday 6:30pm, with
the Zoom ID:91551403358(no
password)
(Jan. 29) There is a typo in Exercise 6 of
Assig #1 that does not
distract from the statement but might
confuse it; just drop
"for any set A"
which is irrelevant.
Recall that B is a set
by virtue of the notation
and its presence as an operand in the "-"
operation -- and this is all
that matters.
(Jan. 22) Hi all: Meet Stanley, the PASS
leader for EECS1028Z this term. Below is
information about PASS and Stanley provided by
him.
Hi! My name is Stanley Ihesiulo, and I will be
the PASS leader for EECS 1028 this term. PASS sessions
are voluntary, regularly scheduled, organized study
sessions, led by students (me) who have completed and
done well in the course. We do not re-lecture course
material or solve assignments, but we encourage
students to work in groups to improve their
understanding of course material.
March 1, 2024 in ACW109 (ONLY the Friday
Tutorial Groups) and March 4, 2024 in VH A (ONLY
the Monday and Thursday Tutorial Groups)
(BOTH tests, therefore,
are written
in-Class), BOTH
are written at 13:30--14:20.
Each student MUST
write with the Tutorial Groups they belong to, as
given above.
This set of notes tracks the complete
lectures but grows along them. Download.
